The Regional Director of Business Development is responsible for strategic planning, marketing, government relations and oversight of the company’s sales regionally
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Understands marketplace and how GT Independence’s services fit. Identifies regulatory, economic and demographic trends that affect the business model. Identifies new services needed within the industry. Collaborates with potential new agency executives to develop creative service solutions. Advises National Director of Business Development in discussions about long-term strategic objectives.
Participates in proposal writing process. Identifies opportunities for expansion of services. Identifies modification of services. Networks with stakeholders to increase opportunities for new business. Maintains knowledge of upcoming RFP’s. Ensures implementation process for a new contract is complete prior to moving on. Populates the CRM tool with contacts and new contract opportunities.
Understands financial management services components and attributes. Knows the company’s competitors and the company’s differentiators. Understands company data structure and can access data on the company’s computer system. Upholds company values and mission.
Develops relationships with key State/Regional Stakeholders. Develops expertise in the Self Directed Services arena. Understands and keeps up with industry related issues – aging, disabilities, Medicaid, health care, trends, etc.
General Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business, human services or related field.
Job-Related Experience: 5 years of experience relevant to the work performed.
